These segments changed my outlook of my topic and evolved into something so much more.  It made me realise how much more there is to ethics than we actually bring ourselves to believe and how badly the system is affected in South Africa.

What’s really great about this video is to watch it the first time and be amazed at how much the doctors are able to do, with so little, in conditions that wouldn’t look out of place in a war zone.

Then, watch it again and count how many human rights / patient rights are violated by medical staff.

Finally, try to figure out if there are any ways in which those rights violations could have been avoided, and you’ll begin to see just how complex these issues are.
